Well, no. It probably won’t. If anything, you’ll probably end up spending loads of money on lingerie you don’t really need–but with almost everything 50-70 percent off, you’ll feel a whole lot better about yourself than you might have if you paid full price.
A friend of mine who works at the store was able to snag me VIP access to the retailer’s first ever warehouse sale which started today, and while I rarely splurge on fancy underthings, this seemed like the perfect excuse. Even though the public sale hasn’t officially started yet, the store was still PACKED and finding anything in my size required some digging. And then there was that whole no-dressing-room-strip-down-in-front-of-everyone thing that warehouse sales in Manhattan are kind of known for. But it’s all worth it and here’s WHY:
Everything is at least half off, with some additional discounts taken off here and there. The walls of the store are lined with racks of bras organized by band size, with brands like Ella Macpherson, Chantelle and Stella McCartney falling in the $25-$30 range. Find pieces from La Perla and Andres Sarda ranging between $39 and $100.
Also look out for racks of chemises and robes by Jenna Leigh and Eberjay costing anywhere between $40 and $60. Panties start around $15.
There are a ton of styles and sizes available across the board. Just keep a sharp eye about you and those elbows out. The general sale starts tomorrow at 14 E. 17th St., (across from Journelle’s Union Square store) and runs while supplies last. Doors open at noon. Cash and credit both accepted!
