L.L. Bean invades Times Square

This is not a joke. I repeat, this is not a joke.

But you have to admit it’s still pretty hilarious. To celebrate its 100th anniversary, L.L. Bean has decided to park an enormous 13 foot shoe–nay, Bootmobile–in the middle of Times Square. Here are some important things about it you should know:

  • It’s 20.6 feet long.
  • It’s too big for even the Statue of Liberty to wear.
  • It’s not too big for someone who is 143 feet tall to wear.
  • It was built in Florida.
  • It’s on a promotional L.L. Bean tour of America.
  • It’s single handedly going to resurge public desire for water-proof hunting boots.

So anyway, that was weird. But huge thanks to the random guy who offered me hand warmers while I elbowed my way through throngs of people to snap a photo.
